On the most technical level he didn't KNOW any such thing. He found money and he knew the Savings and Loan had misplaced an identical amount, but that is not knowing. What he failed to do was make a good faith effort to find the money's proper owner. He could, arguably, be in the clear because he was directly given the money. If you, unsolicited, give someone $8,000; they are not required to ensure your intent before accepting. Was he immoral? Absolutely. But you'd need to ask a prosecutor if he had ACTUALLY crossed the line into illegal. I do agree though, one could hope he got so angry at being foiled again that he finally had the coronary event that ended him.

The sadness at what could have been, the knowledge of what a difference one man could make. I always liked his acting, but this was always my favorite, because it felt so real, so heartfelt. You too make a difference to people Dasha. We all do. Don't ever doubt the effect you have. You are a sweet thoughtful young woman, who brings happiness to so many people. Bless you. As an interesting aside the Charleston scene was not shot on a set, that was on location at Beverly Hills High School. I dated a girl in college, who went there, and when we watched this together she showed me a photo album with pictures that showed her in the exact spot.

She said she wonders if she touches anyone's lives. I guess she doesn't realize what she's doing here. Her reaction will put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. I live alone and have no family to watch movies with, so yes, you do. This was probably my favorite reaction from her, not just because it's one of my favorite movies.

He says that he is swearing out a warrant against George, but he knows that George did nothing wrong since he's the one who mistakenly ended up with George's money. At the very least that has to be some sort of fraud, not to mention a variety of civil complaints George could file against Potter. And who knows, maybe the whole town coming to Georgia's rescue was enough to finally give Potter a massive coronary in his evil old heart.π

The last couple of years have been incredibly tough for me, and you and your reactions have helped me in ways you will never know. There are times when I'm not sure what I would have done without you. I mean that sincerely. God bless you, my dear (I'd better stop now as I am already teary eyed from watching the movie, and I don't want to turn into a complete wreck... π I had been waiting for you to watch this, because I knew it was going to become one of your favorite movies. How can it not? Now that you have seen it, you need to watch other movies from Frank Capra, who is my favorite director. He makes movies about the things in life that are good and real and true. The next one you watch should be my all-time favorite movie, Mr Smith Goes to Washington, also with Jimmy Stewart. And then you should do Mr Deeds Goes to Town, Meet John Doe, and really anything else that Capra did. I will just warn you that you are going to need a box of Kleenex. Hopefully you are in the Christmas mood now. Sometimes it can be tough getting there, and I think maybe the secret is that once you get it, just keep it all year long. It's really not difficult to do that when you realize what a wonderful life it actually is...β₯οΈ
