Like that famous one where they turn The Shining into the feel-good movie of the year...😉

Troy Hickman

They should do a Horror Movie style trailer for this movie 😂

Thomas Richter

Your reaction is very valid and I definitely would be likely to side with Leo, even if he’s a bit unlikeable. I guess it’s not really supposed to be taken seriously, but I can see why it might if you’ve been dealing with crazies in real life. I’m sure people in the psychiatric profession would have a similar reaction to yours. Thank you for doing these reactions!

Thomas

As I get older, I have less and less patience for stupidity. You did the right thing; he sounds like a jerk.

Eddie Perkins

The timer on the screen is about 1min and 4 seconds behind where the movie reaction is.

I don't disagree with you at all, Michael, but it has taken me years to get to this point. Another thing you have to keep in mind is mental illness. I'm certainly not someone who would ever ditch a friend because of their mental illness, but what I have learned over the years is that sometimes it's only partially mental illness. I have had people in my life who definitely do have mental issues, but in addition to those issues they are also assholes. Sometimes you might want to keep someone around because you realize what they are going through in terms of their illness, but you can't because they are also just really awful people completely separate from any sickness from which they suffer.

Troy said: "I'm very much the kind of person that never wants to leave anyone behind, because that's not how you treat people..." I 100% understand your point there. I do. I just want to say that when I STOPPED keeping people around who caused drama, my life improved a ton. It is amazing how much better life is when you disassociate with people who cause drama. It's one lesson I want to pass on. I am not talking about a friend that is going through hard times. I am talking about the type of person that Troy just described. It is amazing how much more energy I have available for everyone else when I no longer am spending energy on miserable people who drag everyone down. Kick them all to the curb, IMO. Edited to clarify: None of this applies to the good people in your life. Do everything you can for the good people.

I am not surprised that Dasha felt that way at all, to be honest. She's never seemed like someone who wants to open up her personal life or allow unwanted attention into what she does. That aligns with Leo. Take a look at all of the female Reactors out there. SO MANY of the female reactors are practically working part-time to post provocative photos of themselves and live streaming to attract attention from male fans. They put themselves out there in a way that works at drawing a lot of attention to their content. It does work, but it comes at a cost given the type of attention they're luring in with their content. It's going to bring in a whole lot of unwanted attention. Dasha doesn't really do that. Maybe you could argue she did it a little bit early on, but she really hasn't gone that route. She's much more protective of herself and much more private than most reactors. It's one of her better qualities, in my opinion. Here is how I look at it: If I had a daughter who wanted to do YouTube content, I'd want them to remain conservative, private, and humble. Even if it meant that they were less successful as a content creator. I would not want them to be trying to attract men provocatively to gain followers. Understanding how Dasha conducts herself, it really isn't a surprise that she sided with Dr. Leo. Dr. Leo may have been a bit extreme, but no less so than Bob who was interfering in his private life. Not to mention Bob was a bit crazy, which would have made me worry for the safety of my family. You could argue it was Dr. Leo's job, but in all job's there should be a divide between your work and your home life. Bob broke that line, big time. Looking at that from Dasha's perspective, it should come as no surprise that she sided with Dr. Leo.

I always liked Bob because it's Bill Murray, but I can understand after your recent events that went on.

I agree, in order to actually enjoy this movie, you have to turn your brain off. Or else you will end up taking it way to seriously. I for one think this movie is hilarious but yeah you have to be in the right mind for it. I was very much expecting Dasha to take this movie from a realistic view lol

We had a guy that was in our social circle for years. He did everything with us, went with us everywhere, but eventually we all individually just decided to quit hanging around with him because he was such a jerk. Here's an example: if we went into a Walmart, and the senior citizen at the door said hello to him on the way in, our friend would get irate about it and give them a hard time for their greeting. What kind of a creep gets pissed off at an old guy in a vest saying hello? And he was this way everywhere, all the time, when we went to restaurants, when we went to concerts, when we went to movies. I think these days he would have been considered a Karen. He worked at a record store, and had the same kind of condescending attitude toward customers that Jack Black has in the movie High Fidelity. And eventually, after we had all stopped associating with him, he would not stop hitting on a girl that worked at the record store with him, and got it into his head that she was his girlfriend even though she wanted nothing to do with him, then eventually tried to kill himself over her. I felt bad that by that point we at all pretty much written him out of our lives, but then I ran into him a while back and he had not changed at all, even after the things he had been through. I'm very much the kind of person that never wants to leave anyone behind, because that's not how you treat people, but sometimes they become so harmful that you just have to get away before they pull everyone else down with them.

Troy Hickman

I also agree 100% with Dasha's statement. I had a friend I had known all my life; "had" is the keyword here. He was also crazy; he was that guy who would come to visit for the weekend, and a month later, you were calling the cops to get him out. Some people are so crazy that they will actually drive you crazy.

Eddie Perkins

I have to admit, I've seen this movie with dozens of people over the years and many movie reactors, and Dasha is the only person I've seen take Leo's side. Felt odd but I understood if you look at it from a realistic perspective as apposed to a sympathetic lead comedy perspective. Leo was a complete asshole so I couldn't take his side

JokesterHollywood

If we had watched it together as kids, I would have smacked you in the side of the head for wondering that.. 😉

Troy Hickman

Dasha you are 100 percent correct about being on Leo's side. I personally never understood why some people take Bob's side.

Tony Rossell

Hey Dasha and everyone just a heads up, the time sync and the movie is way off Dashas reaction.

JokesterHollywood

I remember watching this as a kid and wondering why Peter Venkman was acting so weird. Shouldn't he be busting some ghosts?

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

I don't even have to watch the reaction yet to know Dasha will cringe, laugh and try to understand the chaos. 😂
