Patreon Poll: Older animation movies

Last week's winner will be watched over the weekend.

Remember, you can vote for more than 1 movie, and don't worry if the movie you voted for doesn't win! because don't forget, I do 3 movies a week ;)

Comments

Not on the list but the 1954 Animal Farm is pretty underrated.

RX-1

damn thanks for spoiling movies for4 her bro.

puppers

I want to chime in and say I also like the idea of doing two seasons of Game of Thrones before going back to Battlestar Galactica because season 2 is 20 episodes. As long as we keep to doing at least 2 episodes a week! I enjoy this new schedule!

JokesterHollywood

Old Yeller is a great movie and her reaction would be great as well.

My_Cousin_Mose

I thought the same since Henry Sugar is only 39 minutes long. You can't really go wrong with any of Wes' movies.

puppers

That movie is FANTASTIC!

YoureMrLebowski

I'm not sure that anything is as bad as Hachi, so I'm not sure that should be the comparison. I'd like her to see Old Yeller too. It's a good one for her. I'm just saying that it's gonna hit her hard, and she has expressed on here before how much she doesn't want to see Hachi again when it was suggested for Natalia to watch.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

I would love for her to see old yeller, its honestly not that bad of a movie, its a family movie and definately nowhere near as sad as "Hachi" movie

Thats MR. Baldamort

why?) ...to me, it seems par for the course.) ...y'all made her suffer through the poison pill of "Deliverance". ....what could possibly be tough about an old classic live action Disney drama about a boy and his dog?😅 ...not like it's "Cujo") ....and c'mon, .... "Bridge to Terabithia" won the last poll. That story is 'fantasy' in the same way as "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Where the Wild Things Are". They are all rooted on childhood trauma. Completely unlike any of the other fantasy films on that poll. "Hocus Pocus" is just a comedy with SJP and Bette Milder. They do not compare in tone. Anyway, I'm still waiting for "Big Trouble in Little China". It won a poll months ago, but got "Die Hard #35" or whatever instead....lol. We needed to see Jack Burton, instead of John McClane again. Dashenka, kogda mi posmotrim BTiLC?🐉

Scott_PGH

That would be a good reaction. That's tough on her though.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

You want to see a real reaction? .....convince her to watch "Old Yeller". 🐶

Scott_PGH

I would add 'Rushmore' to that poll.

Beddoe

Labyrinth is fun. Especially the music

Thats MR. Baldamort

I'd be down, I love movies that make you think better than I love disney movies. Although I would also like if she watched Labyrinth some day, the David Bowie one, but also Pans Labyrinth would be good.

puppers

Of course, you already did Grand Budapest Hotel. Otherwise that would be the #1

puppers

If you ever do a Wes Anderson poll: The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, Moonrise Kingdom, Isle of Dogs, Bottle Rocket, The Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

puppers

If you haven’t seen “LADY AND THE TRAMP” (1955) that should really be at the top of your list. It’s both artistically masterful and a very popular, iconic crowd pleaser.

Peter Gad

Dasha, in case you haven’t realized yet, the vast majority of the opinions expressed in your comments sections reflect the exact inverse of reality. “BAMBI” is a sublime work of art and widely recognized as one of the greatest films ever made. “Bambi” towers over every movie in this poll with the exception of “Dumbo”. The great early Disney masterpieces don’t belong in the same poll as 80s and 90s corporate products. If you had a food reaction channel the majority of commenters would be going on and on about how you have to eat at McDonalds and stay away from 3 star Michelin restaurants. That’s just the way the world is, unfortunately.

Peter Gad

So Jokester, I think what you're saying is you want her to watch Eraserhead? 😉

Troy Hickman

yeah, i mean they're adult movies. Donnie Darko is my favorite movie of all time. They're all highly rated.

puppers

agree, not sure what this fascination some of you have trying to get dasha to watch horrible disturbing films. Yeah, since Deliverance was harsh for her and it actually had a negative affect on her as she stated. she should stay away from some of those the movies on this list here and not be roped into them without knowing ahead of time the massive triggering scenes. Rosemary baby and requiem for a dream are far worse than deliverance so let's not try and rope her into them without some warnings first. Rosemary baby has a for more graphic rape scenes than deliverance especially.

JokesterHollywood

those are dark horrible movies

zynjams

Either way i don't want that

Fantomex

I think I'd like to see Dasha do the animated movie Heavy Metal from 1981. Great soundtrack, great animation, John Candy, nudity, it's got it all.

Troy Hickman

Might piss her off or make her cringe lol

JokesterHollywood

I think Anastasia would piss her off tho

Fantomex

I think you'd like the animated Tarzan by Disney. It also has a great soundtrack.

Patrick Anderson

Bambi is a well done movie,

zynjams

Hey Dasha, Id like to request a movie that isnt oppenhimer for once. A movie called "Only The Brave" (2017) Based on a true story about fire fighters. This is one of those movies where if you don't know the story (and if you're not from the US, the chances of you knowing it going in are about zero) it hits you like a truck - they play it off as a wholesome movie about people trying to be essentially good firefighters and a guy turning his life around, then, yeah, that something happens. Thats all ill tease about it. This a movie you MUST see for sure.

Thats MR. Baldamort

Hopefully most of these movies will be on a poll again soon. I'm not a Dumbo fan but it is a classic. So no surprise if it wins. The Land Before Time is easily the best movie on the list and holds up just fine in 2025. And I'm very interested in what a Russian girl's thoughts on Anastasia would be.

My_Cousin_Mose

Dumbo 🐘🐁 un Disney qui a bien marqué mon enfance 😭, avec aussi The old Mill 😨(un court métrage).

FredLeChouan

land before time is the best choice

puppers

Black Cauldron just because everyone forgets it even exists.

DE Wyatt

Land before time SLAPS!

Thats MR. Baldamort

Try this poll, Dasha. Donnie Darko, Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, Black Swan, The Deer Hunter, Requiem for a Dream, Rosemary's baby - no matter what you'll watch all good movies. it's mixed genres

puppers

I am so delighted to have her movie

Emmanuel Etou Mongo

Not Bambi please

Thomas

A great older live action film is THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (1939) I'll mention just for further classic films interests.

Robert Jewell

I just picked a random movie

Gabriel L

the land before time, and the hunchback are master piece
