Super cute just like you

Yeah, I think she's only done one q&A before. I think when she hits 100k, I'm going to celebrate by making a big pot of borscht...πŸ˜‰

When Dasha hits 100,000 she should consider doing a Q&A or something to celebrate. I know Content Creators who do that, and they either take questions before hand or they allow Super Chats to be submitted during a live Q&A. Either way would be pretty cool. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I just heard. RIP Gene Hackman (one of the best) RIP Michelle Trachtenberg (so pretty. so young. so sad.)

I had no idea. That's hilariously awesome! 😎

Yeah, that's why I asked, as the bambi/godzilla animated short has been a part of fandom for many many years. There have also been sequels like Bambi's revenge, and other takes on the whole idea.

I did some additional digging using AI. Apparently I wasn't as wrong as I thought. I asked AI if "Bambi Meets Godzilla" was ever played in the opening of a Godzilla movie and this is what AI said: "Yes, "Bambi Meets Godzilla" was indeed played alongside a Godzilla movie. The 1969 animated short, created by Marv Newland, was included as a bonus feature on the home video release of "Godzilla 1985" in the United States. Additionally, it was shown before "Godzilla 1985" during its American theatrical run. This pairing made sense given the short’s parody of Godzilla and its cult following, adding a humorous lead-in to the main feature. So, if you popped in a VHS of "Godzilla 1985" back in the day, you might’ve caught Bambi’s brief and fateful encounter with the King of the Monsters first!"

My memory was wrong! I did some digging and it wasn't Godzilla 1985... but it WAS "Bambi" he steps on in a 1969 animated short. Here it is! Https://youtu.be/5R-rbzcEM8A?si=0CMwPMrt_G3OkAuc?

I don't remember that scene from Godzilla 85. Was it a nod to the Bambi versus Godzilla fan film Wilson did not care for loud noises, but she was a prey animal, so that tends to be the case. On the 4th of july, I always made sure to hold her all night so she felt more secure. She generally wasn't afraid of anything, though. Here she was, this little 6 lb handicapped rabbit, and sometimes when my mom came over to the house, she would start picking up stuff around Wilson's area, and Wilson would charge her and take a nip at her because she thought my mom was going to try to steal her food! Her spirit inspired me so much.

So close to 100k

I remember when I was a kid watching the animated opening credits of Godzilla 1985 and thinking the deer that gets squished by Godzilla was Bambi. They have that clip on YouTube. It's interesting how some dogs are afraid of loud noises and others aren't. 4th of July is a big issue for many dogs. Yuki, my female Akita, is TERRIFIED of fireworks. When she hears the fireworks she starts shaking, looks around nervously, and tries to find a place to hide. It's pitiful. I am trying to help her slowly through desensitization. Kinjo isn’t bothered by fireworks at all. I can take him outside to watch as we shoot massive rockets overhead and he will lay down to take a nap as they're blowing up around him. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Thunderstorms obviously don't bother Kinjo. Yuki doesn't like them, but they don't bother her to the degree that fireworks do. You can help the dogs through desensitization. For example, to help Hugo you can find thunderstorms on YouTube and play them quietly on TV. Slowly raise the volume until Hugo starts showing signs of unease, and then distract him by grabbing treats and getting him to follow you around to earn treats. It's important for the dog to be moving forward as they're overcoming a fear. A lot of dogs go straight into FLIGHT mode when they're scared. Moving forward towards a positive goal is the opposite of retreating and hiding. Repeat this process until Hugo ignores the Thunderstorms on TV, and then start again with the volume even louder. It takes repetition and calm patience on your part, but you can help your dog to overcome these fears. Or at the very least, reduce their fears to a more manageable level. It's better for their health to not have to experience terror if it can be helped. I'll be here all week for tips on dog training! 🀣

Wonderful reaction, and it brought back so many memories for me. It brought back memories of when I was a kid and watched Bambi for the first time (I actually haven't seen it since then, so I had forgotten how beautifully it was made). Seeing Thumper made me remember how much I miss my beloved little female rabbit Wilson (her back leg would thump when I scratched her behind the ear). The forest fire made me think of my time in British Columbia and seeing the terrible, terrible forest fires there (few things will make you understand more the awesomeness and terror of nature). Thank you, Dasha, for another great video. P. S. It sounds like thunderstorms are probably not an issue for Hugo very often, but if they become problematic, some people see their dogs get relief from wearing those special vests which make them feel more secure during storms.
