If I were to pick just one movie with Hackman, it would be Unforgiven. I thought she had seen it.

I am 62 and have hunted whitetail in Maryland for most of my life. I haven't hunted in the last 11 years. Unless something changed, the bag limit: "Up to two antlerless deer may be harvested during a weapon season, but no more than two total for the combined seasons. Only one antlerless deer per day may be harvested in Region A. Hunters may take a third antlerless deer during the Primitive Deer Hunt Days." A Bonus Antlered Deer Stamp allows hunting license holders to take one additional antlered white-tailed deer during one of the hunting seasons. Most of my hunting was with a bow; since I stopped hunting, I haven't kept up to date on all the rules, regulations, and bag limits.

The Quick and the Dead gets my vote.

Hello Dasha, Guess you should never see "Bambi meets Godzilla" a Canadian production... just saying

Danny T

being a hunter, its extremely rare to get tags for does.

zynjams

It is not illegal to shoot Does, even with their young, it's not illegal, but it's unethical. I wouldn't.

Eddie Perkins

Also I don’t think she has seen Unforgiven. Hackman I think won an Oscar for that.

Doce

it is illegal to shoot does especially with their young. tags are given out to hunt bucks

zynjams

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir made a CD called A Tribute to Walt Disney. All the music is just like from the movies of this era, so beautiful.

This movie always made me think of a record that I would listen to over and over again. Have you heard of Peter and the Wolf? The music sets the mood for the story and goes with the narrative. There's an excellent version with a very young Sean Connery as the narrator.

3dbadboy1

I liked him a lot in The Quick and the Dead with very young DiCaprio.

Ja Hu

That's what I was thinking. And that's good advice for most people; I only use electricity, so I should be okay.

zynjams, Dasha is an adult. She is made of tougher stuff than you're giving her credit for. Dasha doesn't require protection from a movie that's target audience is children aged 9-12. She's seen Chernobyl, Hachi, Green Mile, and so many other movies WAY more difficult to watch than Terabithia. As was already said above, if Dasha doesn't want to see a particular type of movie, she will say so. She put the movie on the poll after all, so we have to trust that she's good with it until she says otherwise.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

wtf? nobody has a goal of hurting reactors dude. Stop being pretentious. Dasha has seen far FAR worse movies than something as trivial as tarabithia. Stop trying to act like requesting movie = harm. Tarabithia won a poll. Get over it :)

JokesterHollywood

Yeah, i agree with that as well. Not sure what people feel the need to "protect" Dasha. She is an adult, that is clearly well capable of handling such movies. This movie is also only rated PG and is considered a family movie anyways. Let's be honest, Dasha has got emotional at even the smallest of things. She almost cried watching land before time just several days ago πŸ˜† So let's just let her enjoy good movies. If Dasha has an issue with certain themes she will tell us. For example she has recently with movies like Deliverance when it comes to "Rape" Its definitely a theme in movies she does not want to see as those themes ruin her enjoyment for the rest of the reaction.πŸ‘

Thats MR. Baldamort

last person I watched that reacted to that movie, Alyska, it traumatized her. put her in a depression. is that your goal. to hurt reactors

zynjams

It is because Dasha chose to put that movie on a poll for us to vote on. It won the poll. That's how these things go, right? You are right though. It is a sad movie. It is also a good movie, with a good message. Lastly, it is also a great movie to react to. It is one of those movies that moves people and that is normally what fans want to see. They know how the movie impacted them when they saw it, and they want to see how others react to it. Dasha is also probably the best reactor when it comes to emotional reactions. She's real, and has a good heart. She doesn't disappoint when there is a movie or scene that left an impact on you and you want to see how she feels about it.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

why do you want her to watch bridge to Terabithia. it's a extremely sad movie. Bambi is actually a very good movie

zynjams

I have no idea why, but whenever I see "Bridge to Terabithia" the song "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" goes through my head. It is so weird.

YoureMrLebowski

Update has come out on Gene Hackman. It appears no evidence of carbon monoxide poisoning. Update is that the deaths look suspicious. Good Lord, I didn't want foul play to be a real possibility... As tragic as an accident is, foul play is much worse. Thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims...

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

Hey Dasha, did you forget to react to Bridge to Terabithia? It won a poll several weeks ago. Not sure if you forgot to post it or if you forgot about it entirely, or maybe you are choosing not to watch it for some reason. Let us know if you plan to react to it or post it.

Thats MR. Baldamort

Oh, one thing about carbon monoxide detectors... your dog can sometimes trigger them if they're farting near the detector. 🀣 That's right... blame it on the dog! πŸ˜‚

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

It sounds as if he may have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, since they found his wife and dog also deceased. That is something I've always been wary of. Carbon monoxide detectors aren't expensive and can save your life. I urge everyone to get a Carbon monoxide detector and plug it in next to a vent in your bedroom.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

Don't forget about poll winner "Bridge to Terabithia" please! It's a good movie, even if it is tough to watch.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

My money would be on Hoosiers, filmed here in indiana.

Troy Hickman

I’d vote for Crimson Tide. Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington.

Doce

This movie is a classic, and the Bambi mother scene is so sad. The great actor Gene Hackman just died at 95. You should check out Mississippi Burning. He had so many great movies.
