I think the star of this video is your pronunciation of "Babadook " You know, personally I love horror movies, but some people don't. But there are certain horror films that seem to appeal to non horror fans. This is one of those, just like The Host, o Train to Busan (it's interesting how often they are foreign movies). I think one of the things that appeals to people about Babadook is the psychological horror and this woman having to deal with her depression and grief. That's why it's so gratifying at the end when she is able to lock the babadook away in the cellar, even though she still has to feed it a bit occasionally, just like grief. Anyway, another great one, Dash. If you haven't seen it yet, I would recommend the recent movie Abigail for the channel. A nice mix of horror and comedy and action, and a twisty plot.

2025-04-09 22:12:36 +0000 UTCThis movie seems to be a hit or miss for most people. I've seen people largely split on it. They seem to either think it is really good or that it is terrible. There are people in the middle but I'd say less people in the middle than on many such movies. Personally, I thought it was good. It's not my favorite supernatural horror movie, but it was definitely good and was successfully creepy. Supernatural horror is my favorite kind of horror movie. Technically, it can be labeled a psychological horror movie with a supernatural cover disguising the true monster that is Amelia's inner darkness from her emotional pain. It still passes as a supernatural horror movie given the atmosphere, IMO.
