In Episode 2, I was seeing Arya playing frisky with Gendry and thought, 'what the heck is going on here?' And then when Arya shed her clothing, I thought, 'well, HELLO!! Arya is a horndog and we never suspected!' When Arya appeared behind the Night King, I cheered - but when he turned and caught her by her throat I thought she'd failed in that moment. I didn't see her drop-dagger move coming but it felt like a real triumphant victory, at long last. Seeing so many of the characters go through personal challenges and changes over the years, and then finally come together to fight the army of the dead was gratifying. In Episode 2, I liked seeing Ser Jaime perform knighthood for Brienne of Tarth. It was so fitting for a person who valued honor and loyalty above all else. And Jaime Lannister himself finally living up to his knighthood vows and fighting for the living was a good thing.
