I've watched "The Dead Zone" (1983) and "Doctor Sleep" (2019) and agree that they are not too scary or gory from my recollection. Both are good stories with interesting characters.

Silver Bullet (1985), The Dead Zone (1983), Doctor Sleep (2019), Firestarter (1984), and Salem's Lot (1979) are all not too scary movies from Stephen King novels that I know you haven't reacted to. I enjoyed them all.
