Limbo and Skyward | Overview

Happy Holidays to all my wonderful patrons! I want to give all my long time patrons that have stuck with me for the long hall a huge thank you. You are what keeps this Patreon going and I am truly forever grateful. Please I implore you to reach out to me or post below if you have requests or maps that you have been wanting for a while and I haven't delivered. I am always looking for ideas and your opinions and ideas do help guide me in my process.

The first map-pack takes us to Limbo. This plane is one of supreme chaos and pieces of broken worlds. I think these maps turned out quite beautiful and magical. I wanted them to burst with color and a sense of chaos and I feel like a i really nailed the look I was going for. I did want to have some other elements such as liquids floating in the space, but unfortunately couldn't get the look I was going for and had to abandon the idea. For now anyways.

The next map-pack was inspired by watching my son play skyward sword. I really love the idea of magical floating islands of rock in the sky. It's an idea i tried in the past, but never could get the in the sky look right. But with new graphic engine updates I finally can make realistic looking clouds so I was finally able to bring something together that i think turned out really cool and beautiful looking. I also think its cool that both packs ended up being floating rocks in very contrasting locations.

Well I hope you like if not love these packs this month. If you could leave a comment below and share your thoughts and ideas that would be really appreciated. I really love hearing from you all and getting feedback. I hope you all have a wonderful December and Holidays. - Nathan

You know, I've been thinking a bit since you mentioned ideas that doesn't use water to for the animation awhile back while still remaining animated and I wanted to drop a few ideas here that I came up with: 1] a botanical garden of living plants (overgrown/well-manicured), 2] a glass animal menagerie (possibly fae trickery turning creatures to glass/crystal), 3] a meeting with the bridge keeper (he lifts it into place or destroys it), 4] a temple to a fire god with a fire imp mother sitting in her magma pools, 5] a shifting maze (walls shift), 6] a creature or ship trying to come through a portal, 7] bubbling mud around a hag's hovel.

Thank you so much! I am very happy with how they turned out also.
