Jaemin went on hiatus from Oct 2016 to February 2018- roughly one year and 4 months, so he only missed the comebacks of 2017. It was officially announced when he went on hiatus that he was undergoing treatment for his herniated disc, an injury he got during his trainee days. Despite his hiatus, he did not lose any popularity and upon his return became their most popular member. I would say that is well deserved as he’s really hardworking and so much more than just a pretty face. He has said before that his injury is not something that will fully heal and yet he’s still one of the best dancers in a pretty stacked lineup, and he continues to improve in rapping and singing. I've been impressed by his growth as an artist and a person over the years.

2025-07-26 17:21:45 +0000 UTComg yay this album is so nostalgic to me. it was my everything the summer it came out. just for reference there are a few singles that they released before this album that aren't included. chewing gum (their debut), my first and last (their first comeback and my fav dream title track) and dunk shot!!! similarly there is a single they released after this that isnt included in their next album. its called go and its from the nct 2018 empathy album! there are mvs for all of these songs if you want to check them out <3 jaemin isnt in any of these songs. for some reason they used the photos from the next album we go up in the walk you home video. the reason why he didn't have any lines in bc he just wasn't in the sing due to a back injury. he missed the entirety of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 and now that i think about it i'm not even sure if sm ever released a statement. the day he came back was a national holiday lmao. his comeback song was go! more incentive to react to it! also you're not imagining it! renjun's voice has changed a lot in the last few years. after his hiatus definitely had the most noticeable difference but idk. his voice is super pretty but it definitely sounds different trigger the fever was played at every dream concert other than tds3. its def their representative concert song. it goes goes crazyyyy live
