The controversy isn't that there are nft companies that are 'bad' per se....it's just that the blockchain technology (or PoW machines) to create nfts and bitcoins etc is EXTREMELY harmful to the environment bc they require MASSIVE amounts of electricity. Those computers are computing extremely complex mathematical computations to create the coins or nfts. As an example, the computers producing ONLY bitcoin (so a single cryptocurrency) uses as much energy as the entire nation of Poland in a year. The money that MODHAUS has or had initially (it's not like those nfts or objekts had any real value in the beginning) were just aquired the old fashioned way. Jaden Jeong just got some BIG capital firms and companies to invest in venture capital funding. I think the initial investments for the first round of VCF was around $12 million, then tack on that the valuation of the blockchain tech, then add on that the ACTUAL money fans pay through the cosmo app, add in an residual income their various social platforms were bringing in with views and all that before a single song was even released
