QWER First Time Reaction

lol....i might just have old man brain. Oh, so yeah, INITIALLY it was meant as a project group but they exploded in popularity on the charts when they debuted and it hasn't subsided so they're just continuing on. They're an odd group that had and continues to have MASSIVE success on the charts (where it really matters) and very little televised content. Its totally different now (their most recent release 'Dear' they actually did a MNET stage and they performed 'TBH' at MAMA or MMA or one of those)

and as far as ballads......'Harmony of Stars' is BY FAR their best song on their debut album. It's an absolutely beautiful song. One thing......it's actually WAY more satisfying watching their live performances (being a band and all) and really pretty cool seeing in real time how much they improve. When they debuted, Hina and Magenta had literally only played the guitar and bass for less than a year. If you watch the Discord live and then the Dear live, it's crazy how much the 2 of them have improved over that 2 year span

I'm so glad you're finally checking them out! I didn't think you would as I know you're not a band lover but like you said, they infuse a lot of extra elements to create a unique sound. They were originally a project group created by Kim Gyeran, but they are a permanent band now thankfully. There's a whole series on their youtube channel called My Favourite Children which documents the recruiting of the members all the way up until debut, it's well worth checking out, it's hilarious. If you already love Siyeon you'll love her even more, she's crazy. As for emotional ballads, you should check out Harmony of Stars and Goodbye My Sadness.
